Location

Westernization is a growing epidemic. It is spreading farther and farther out into Japan, plopping cities all over the counrty side. First one by one then two by two, more and more cities are emerging from what use to be the lush country side of Japan. Major industries now lie upon farmland that fed the country. Since farm land is becoming scarce the easy way to fed the population is western food.

The terrain is mostly rugged with mountians, but technology is making easier ways to overcome the terrain for cities. Japan is about the size of California, which means that since it's surrounded by water every city along the coast has an access to a mojor port, meaning more businesses can ship their products. Only .9% of the land is permanent crops and more than 87% is cities and other uses. To say the least, there is almost no land for traditional Japanese agriculture.

Backround

In Japan one of the biggest issues is westernization. Westernization will eventually wipe out the ancient and treasured cultured of the Japanese. The elderly are worried for their generations of traditions, the youth are adopting the ways and emotions of America. Some say the children are becoming more aggressive due to the influence of violent video games and movies. This issue is causing quite a disruption in the order in the cultural system of Japan.
